Peering with SkyCache CA
To peer a CacheFlow appliance with the SkyCache CA, a configuration file is edited and placed on a HTTP server, and the CacheFlow server is then told to get this file.
First, go the 'Management / ICP Forwarding' menu in the CacheFlow configuration GUI, and view the current ICP settings. Cut and paste this document, and place it into a file on a HTTP server that the CacheFlow server can access.
Next, add the needed configuration details to the file:
Last, within the 'Management / ICP Forwarding' menu, tell the CacheFlow server where to fetch the file via HTTP, and ensure that the settings have applied properly by selecting the 'View current settings' box.
Notes
Statistics about hit rates and performance within the Administrator GUI will be tainted by the SkyCache feed, due to the method involved in getting objects into the cache. Counters for hit rate percentages in particular will appear much lower than their actual value. To get accurate numbers for cache performance, logs will need to be pulled from the server and post-processed with connections from the SkyCache CA removed.
